Varun Dhawan announced that he will donate Rs 30 lakh to the PM-CARES fund. The actor also contributed Rs 25 lakh to Maharashtra CM's Relief Fund.
To help the people of India and fight the coronavirus war, PM Narendra Modi announced the PM-CARES fund on March 28 and urged people to make their contributions. He further said that the fund will also cater to similar situations, if they arise in the future.
Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan pledged to contribute a sum of Rs 30 lakh to the PM-CARES fund. The actor made the announcement on Twitter. He wrote, "I pledge to contribute 30 lakhs to the PM CARE fund. We will overcome this. Desh hai toh hum hain. (sic)"
Varun Dhawan also contributed a sum of Rs 25 lakh to the Maharashtra CM’s Relief Fund.
"I pledge to contribute 25 lakhs to the Maharashtra CM’s relief fund @OfficeofUT @AUThackeray @CMOMaharashtra. We are with you sir," he wrote on Twitter.
